What Does The Cursed Storm Do In Fisch Version 1.23

Fisch version 1.23, also known as the Cults Curse update was released on March 22, 2025.

This version introduces the Cults Curse event, and AFK rewards, fixes several bugs, adds a new rod, and includes several titles.

The update also introduces new boats, lanterns, limited skins, bobbers, and a localized weather event called Cursed Storm.

Cursed Storm Effects In Fisch

A Cursed Storm is a weather event that grants extra experience points and increases the chance of catching fish with the Cursed Mutation.

When a Cursed Storm begins, a special Cursed Storm Pool will appear near a random island. Further, a server-wide message will let all players know where it is.

If you fish in this pool, every fish you catch gives double XP. Furthermore, there is also a 5% chance that the fish will have the Cursed Mutation.

How To Summon A Cursed Storm In Fisch

Cursed Storms have a small chance of appearing at the start of any day during the Cults Curse Limited-Time Event.

However, you can also summon them manually using a Cursed Storm Totem or a Sundial Totem.

The Cursed Storm totem is a new totem that creates a Cursed Storm. Players can only buy this totem during the Cults Curse Event.

You can buy the Cursed Storm Totem at the Cults Curse Room (coordinates: 760, 2130, 16965) for 1,000,000 C$.

The Sundial Totem advances the daylight cycle and may cause a Cursed Storm to appear at the start of the in-game day.

Players can buy the Sundial Totem at Sunstone Cave (coordinates: -1215, 195, -1040) for 2000 C$.

Finally, players should prepare their fishing gear and be ready to fish as much as possible during the Cursed Storm to make the most of the rewards.
