- Players will receive the Bloody Cipher Machine as a reward immediately after defeating the Two-faced Overseer in Lies of P: Overture.
- The Corroded Cipher Machine is located in the Ergo Mining Site, while the Frosted Cipher Machine is inside a safe on the Archon Fleet Ship.
- After finding the Cipher Machines, go back to the hotel and speak with the Tracker, who will help decode them.
Players can find three Cipher Machines in Lies of P: Overture that they can decode and get rewards for decoding them.
Moreover, once you find and decode all three Cipher Machines, you will unlock the Tracker of Dark Secrets achievement.
The Cipher machines that players can find in Lies of P: Overture are the Bloody, Corroded, and Frosted Cipher machines.
Bloody Cipher Machine In Lies Of P: Overture
Players can find the first Cipher machine by defeating the Two-faced Overseer. You will instantly get the item once you defeat it.
After obtaining the Cipher Machine, go back to the Eventide Hotel and talk to the Tracker. You then have to hand over the Cipher machine to him to ask him to decrypt it.
If you can’t find the Tracker in the Hotel, make sure you have talked to him and send him back to the hotel.
Players will see a picture of a stuffed crocodile in an exhibit. You then have to go to the Hall of Adventure and find the crocodile, which is located on the first floor, not the ground floor.
Once you have located the crocodile, interact with it to get “Confession: Crocodile Necropsy Report.” Further, head back and talk to the Tracker once more to finish the Cipher.
Lastly, you will get a Whirlwind Amulet after you successfully decode the Bloody Cipher Machine in Lies of P: Overture.
Location Of Corroded Cipher Machine In Lies Of P: Overture
The second Cipher machine, also known as the Corroded Cipher Machine, can be found in the Ergo Mining Site.
Once there, move through the mine and take two lifts to cross the big gaps. After that, ride a third lift that takes you straight down to a large cave.
Inside the large cave, you will have to fight the Bulldozer enemy. After you defeat it, you will receive the Corroded Cipher machine.
Furthermore, head back to the hotel and hand the machine over to the Tracker to decode it.
Once it is decoded, travel to the Ancient Ruins Excavation Site, and go to the bottom of the area, where you will find a dead robot sitting near some rocks.
Furthermore, walk a few steps until you see a wall that appears to be breakable. Players must use an explosive to break the wall.
You will find a small cave inside with the Misfit’s Diary, which you can take back to the Tracker to get an Ancient Disk.
Finding And Decrypting The Frosted Cipher Machine
To find the last Cipher machine in Lies of P: Overture, head to the Archon Fleet Ship.
Further, go through the area until you reach the shipwrecks, where you will find a safe guarded by an enemy.
You need to defeat the enemy and open the safe to get the Frosted Cipher Machine. After getting it, take it to the Tracker at the hotel to decode it.
After decoding it, head back to the shipwrecks and speak to the Wandering Merchant near the stargazer. Players must then buy the Giant’s Amulet from the Wandering Merchant.
Furthermore, head to the Krat Lighthouse and go down the stairs until you find a panel on the floor.
You then have to equip the Giant’s Amulet and stand on the panel to open a secret room, where you will find the Lighthouse Keeper’s journal near a body.
Bring the journal back to the Tracker to receive a set of detective’s clothes.
Finally, when speaking to the Tracker, choose the dialogue option “They will be, and Krat will be saved” to get a bonus reward.
