While each NYT game has its own unique appeal, Connections stands out as the best for its clever word associations and the way it links terms together.
Some words in NYT Connections can be especially tricky to group out—yesterday, Hubris proved quite challenging, and today, Meringue seems to pose a similar difficulty.
Answers For Today’s NYT Connections (April 16, 2025)
After carefully analyzing today’s NYT Connections, I was not able to gather four words, as none seemed to connect in my mind.
Later, after losing one life, I was able to get the green group “Mess Up The Surface Of,” with words like Scar, Score, Scrape, and Scratch.

Moving ahead with the remaining words, I got the yellow group “Burlesque Wear,” with the words “Boa, Corset, Garter, and Stockings.”
Boa Meaning In NYT Connections #675
In today’s NYT Connections, Boa referred to a long, fluffy scarf made of feathers or fur, often worn as a fashion accessory.
Meanwhile, Corsets, Garters, and Stockings are a few other items that we can normally see, especially in a literary or dramatic work, as a parody.
Katy Perry Meaning In NYT Connections #675
As I progressed with the remaining words, it was quite hard to figure out their connections.
So, after taking a few hints from a friend, I was able to get the blue group, “They Roar“, with the words: Crowd, Engine, Katy Perry, and Lion.

Katy Perry is indeed an American singer and songwriter, but in today’s game, she represents her hit song Roar.
