Destiny 2: Edge Of Fate Crashing For Several Users (PC, Xbox and PlayStation)

Not Expected from Bungie!

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Bungie is aware of the issues in the expansion: Edge of Fate and has already released loads of known issues.
  • As the team is actively working to solve major issues, you can keep an eye on their official pages to know the status. They have already added a sever-side update to solve couple of issues.
  • The Developers are planning to release the next patch, 9.0.0.3, on Tuesday, July 22. The next one will follow a week later.

Destiny 2’s latest expansion, Edge of Fate, is finally out with new destinations, gameplay systems, activity systems, and also a new raid, The Desert Perpetual (launches July 19).

Even with several new mechanics, it has not been the greatest start for Bungie, but not due to concurrent players or downloads.

The Fate Saga’s first expanison has caused loads of problem for just just PC users but console users too, due to unexpected crashing, error codes, and audio issues.

Not The Smoothest Start For Edge Of Fate

It has not even been a couple of days since the release of Edge of Fate, yet Bungie has listed a ton of known issues, which have caused frustration for all Xbox, PC, and PlayStation players.

The problem is not limited to crashes; players are also unable to complete missions, and Kepler appears to be bugged.

Additionally, the abilities, armor, perks, weapons, and quests are not functioning as intended.

There is an overwhelming response from the players’ side as expected, but thankfully, Bungie is aware of the situation and is actively working to solve significant issues before July 19.

Bungie is also planning to release a couple of patches, confirmed via the official X page.

At the time of this writing, Bungie has already addressed two significant issues: players were unable to complete the campaign on alternate characters, and Unstable Cores were being removed when creating alternate characters.

Try restarting the systems if you still have issues with the above ones.

Players experiencing crashes on PC (those using Intel 12th generation Iris integrated graphics) should navigate to Windows > Settings > Graphics Settings and select High Performance. Lastly, restart the game.
