Collective Psyche In Destiny 2 Desert Perpetual Raid Race

Do you think that’s fair?

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Collective Psyche is the raid-exclusive armor set in Destiny 2 that will be disabled for the upcoming Desert Perpetual raid race.
  • Bungie states that the perks of this Armor set were too powerful for the 48-hour Contest Mode, leading them to decide to restrict it.
  • You can still equip the armor during the raid, but its special effects won’t activate until Contest Mode ends.

Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate is now globally available on multiple platforms, including PS4 and PS5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

It has not been a week since the expansion release, and Bungie is about to launch the new Raid “Desert Perpetual.”

This new Raid offers 48-hour Contest Mode, where you will not be able to access a few armor sets like Last Discipline and Collective Psyche.

Collective Psyche In Destiny 2

The Collective Psyche is the raid-exclusive armor set from the Desert Perpetual raid, which is primarily designed to combine with the new Armor 3.0 system and gear tiers.

Unlike previous expansions, Edge of Fate introduces set bonuses for armor. The Collective Psyche includes;

  • 2 Piece:  Picking up an ammo brick gives you a stacking bonus to weapon swap and stow speeds until you die.
  • 4 Piece: Suspend, unravel, and sever effects applied to targets, and radiant and restoration effects applied to you have increased duration.

The armor set can be obtained as a random drop from boss encounters in the Desert Perpetual raid, so keep an eye out during the battle.

Contest Mode Restrictions For Collective Psyche

The 48-hour Contest Mode in Destiny 2 is a time-limited challenge for the Desert Perpetual Raid that will begin on July 19, 2025.

During this game mode, your power is locked at a fixed level, even if your gear is higher, so no one can be left behind.

To make the game mode even fair, Bungie has disabled a few of the armor sets, such as Collective Psyche, which is known to have more powerful perks that could impact the game mode.

In addition to the Collective Psyche Outbreak, Perfected Exotic Pulse Rifle, and Choir of One Exotic Auto Rifle, there are a few more that are disabled during this mode.
