“A True Igan” Kuji Kiri Quest In Assassin’s Creed Shadows

After completing two Kuji Kiri quests, meditate at one of the marked sites to automatically trigger the “A True Igan” quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Players need to speak with Sandayu to receive your task, then head southwest to investigate Kunimiyama Fort.
Use stealth to eavesdrop on the swordsmen at the fort’s north side, grapple to the top of the watchtower, examine the fort master’s corpse, and report back to Sandayu.

Each character has unique traits, strengths, weaknesses, and personal objectives throughout the game.

“A True Igan” is a Naoe-exclusive quest and the third in the Kuji Kiri quest series in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Starting “A True Igan” Quest In Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The game scatters Kuji Kiri sites across the map, where players can meditate to earn 500 XP and 1 Knowledge Point each.

The first four Kuji Kiri are required for the story and reveal key parts of Naoe’s backstory, regardless of the order in which you find them.

After completing two Kuji Kiri quests, locate and meditate at one to automatically trigger the “A True Igan” quest.

Players must press four buttons in a specific pattern, with the tempo increasing as they progress.

The game will soon teleport you to the Iga province in 1579, where you must complete specific tasks.

Speak with Sandayu, located upstairs to the east. He will task you with checking on the Igans to ensure everything is in order.

Head to Kunimiyama Fort by following the quest marker at the top of the screen.

It is located southwest of your current position. From there, climb onto the fallen log near the entrance.

Use the Grappling Hook given to you by Sandayu by pressing L1/LB or Q, then swing across into the tower.

Jump over the wall, dive into the tall grass, and avoid being spotted as you head to the north side of the area.

As you reach the northern side of the fort undetected, you’ll spot some swordsmen sitting behind a fence.

Players should get close to them and take cover behind the fence to eavesdrop on the enemies.

Head to the top of the watchtower and hide to eavesdrop on the swordsmen.

Grapple onto the nearby tree, climb to the top of the watchtower, and examine the corpse of the fort master.

Make your way back to Sandayu and update him on the situation. Jump off the ledge onto the haystack to quickly exit the fort.
