Just after finishing up the Strands, I quickly jumped to today’s NYT Connections, which was quite difficult compared to the previous day’s game.
In today’s editions, all 16 words were relatively short. Some were familiar and commonly used, while others felt fresh and unfamiliar to me.
Words like, About, Roy, and Sleek seem to cause quite a difficulty, making the gameplay quite hard and interesting at the same time.
Answers For Today’s NYT Connections (July 14, 2025)
After closely analyzing today’s NYT Connections, the first four words that instantly crossed my mind were Baby, Ice, Powder, and Sky.
Each of these words seems to be related to one another in the sense that each was a shade of a color, like Sky Blue.
So, grouping out these words, I got the yellow group “Shades of Blue“.

Moving ahead with the remaining words, I got the green group “Adjectives for a Sports Car“, with words like Sporty, Sleek, Fast, and Compact.

As I progressed ahead with the remaining words, I lost two lives and got the blue group “Words Before “Roger/S”.
The blue group in today’s NYT Connection featured words like Ginger, Jolly, Mister, and Roy.

Roy in today’s NYT game refers to Roy Rogers, an American singer, actor, television host, and rodeo performer.
On the other hand, Jolly Roger is the traditional name for the flag flown by pirates, most famously featuring a skull and crossbones.

With only four words remaining at the end, I quickly grouped them out and got the purple group “Disney Animated Characters Plus a Letter”.
