Start “Conflict In Conviction” Mission In Starfield: Shattered Space From House Veth’aal
To start the Conflict in Conviction mission in Starfield DLC, you must make your way towards the House Veth’aal.
Once you reach the House, you will encounter Veth’aal family members, including Viktor, Vitoria, and Luther.
Players must listen to the Veth’aal family’s dialogue and then approach the mission to fulfill their demands.
If you analyze their conversation closely, you will find out that Vaeric, the son of Veth’aal, has left home in the past and has not returned, leaving the family legacy.
So his father, Viktor, demands you kill his son and bring back his ring, while Vitoria demands the opposite. Therefore, it’s your choice to side with Viktor or Vitoria.
Search For Vaeric And Decide Whether To Kill Or Spare Him
After leaving House Veth’aal, you must go to the Herald’s Rest, where you will meet Egbo Kazmi, an in-game NPC.
The NPC will tell you about the “Tane,” who will assist you in finding Vaeric. After a few moments, Tane will come to your location; you must offer him some Credits to get his company.
Following Tane’s guidance, you must find several items, including Vaeric’s Camp Log and his dwelling, and search multiple locations to locate Vaeric.
Once you locate Vaeric, you will have to decide whether to kill him or spare him; if you choose to kill him, you will fulfill Viktor’s demand and satisfy him.
If you spare him, you can demand 10,000 Credits for his freedom and take his ring to lie about his death to his father, which does seem to be a better choice.
Alternatively, convincing Vaeric to return home avoids both choices and seems to make everyone happy, though persuading him might not be easy.
