In Deltarune Chapter 3, the Watercooler is a mini-boss Darkner found in the reward room for C-class players in Tenna’s show.
At first, it looks like a silly or harmless enemy, even kind of funny.
But once the fight starts, players quickly see it’s not just a joke, it can actually be tough.
How The Battle With Water Cooler Works In Deltarune
The Watercooler attacks using water. It sends out small water drops that move slowly toward the middle of the screen.
These drops come together to make a big water bubble that can hurt a lot if you’re not careful. The moves seem easy at first, but they can catch you by surprise.

If Kris tries to flirt with the Watercooler, it briefly turns pink. But the attacks don’t change. The fight stays tricky, and you still have to dodge the water moves carefully.
Using ACT Options
During the fight, you can pick from three ACT choices: “Flirt,” “Act Cool,” and “Beg for Mercy.”
Flirt makes the Watercooler react in a weird way and changes its color, but it doesn’t really help you finish the battle.
Act Cool works better. When you choose it, your team members try to look cool around the Watercooler.

This raises the Mercy percentage and brings you closer to sparing it.Beg for Mercy doesn’t do much.
The Watercooler won’t stop fighting just because you keep begging, unless its name has already turned yellow. So it’s better to stick with something more useful, like Act Cool.
Healing is also part of the fight. Sometimes Suzie crushes a cup, and Ralsei helps by cleaning up and keeping the team okay.

These moments don’t affect the Watercooler itself, but they add a bit of personality and fun to the scene.
How To Win The Battle With Water Cooler In Deltarune
To beat the Watercooler without fighting, keep using Act Cool again and again. Flirt is mostly just for laughs.
Each time you Act Cool, the Mercy bar goes up. When it gets to about 59%, you’re almost there.
Just one or two more correct actions will turn its name yellow. That’s your signal, you can now spare it and end the battle.
