Harvard And Lemon Meaning In NYT Connections #494

Heard Of Lemon Law Before?

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The meaning of “Harvard” varies widely, from a surname to the name of a city, but in today’s NYT Connections, it refers to Harvard Law, fitting the theme “_ _ _Law.”
  • Lemon was another tricky word to group out in today’s NYT Connection, but it was in the same group as Harvard, along with Criminal and Nature.
  • Today’s easiest group (Yellow) included Green, Lawn, Park, and Yard under the title “Grassy Area.”

Not all words we group out in the NYT Connections game always have similar meanings or somehow relate.

But as soon as we group them out, we will see the title, making us realize why I didn’t think of it.

Similarly, a few words, including “Criminal,” “Harvard,” “Nature,” and “Lemon,” in today’s NYT Connection seem poles apart but are in the same group.

Answers For Today’s NYT Connections

As a regular player of NYT Connections, you might not find it difficult to get the first group right in a single attempt.

However, if you are new to the game, you have a 4 x 4 grid of words, which you need to group into 4, each having 4 words.

Select the 4 words and group them.

You might select any 4 and try to group out first, then start analyzing the words with similar meanings or connections.

If you analyze the words on 17 October NYT Connections closely, you will see that Green, Lawn, Park, and Yard are somehow related.

So we, too, thought and grouped those words and got the first easy group, “Grassy Area.”, which left us with only 12 remaining words.

Now, the difficulty level begins.

As we progress through the game, we notice some movie names, like Goodfella and Jaw, but we get stuck trying to find two more.

With 1 mistake, we finally got the words Car and Swinger, which made us realize the movie we missed, completing the second category,” Movies With “S” Removed.”

Harvard And Lemon Meaning In NYT Connections For 17 October

Now that we were in the middle of the game, we were more curious about the remaining 8 words, as they did not seem to match up.

After three mistakes, we sought help from friends and learned the harder group words: Natural, Lemon, Criminal, and Harvard.

Yeah! At first, we were curious about how these fit together in the same group, but when the title” _ _ _Law ” was revealed, we realized that the NYT could go this far with those Words Connections.

The purple group was the most challenging to figure out.

Harvard had multiple meanings, like a surname, university, and even town name, but we were unaware of the law.

Likewise, lemons have been tricky, as the first thing that comes to mind after hearing lemons is lemonade or drinks. But in today’s NYT Connections game, it was Lemon Law.
