But like anything else, they can get damaged over time, especially if you leave them out in storms.
If you don’t fix them, they’ll stop working properly. The good news is, fixing your bike is pretty easy once you know what to do.
Check The Condition Of The Bike To Repair In Dune Awakening
Walk up to your bike and press the F key. A wheel of options will pop up. Choose the one that says “Manage.”
This will show you the different parts of your bike and how damaged they are. Some might be barely touched, others might be in bad shape.
This is a good way to know if it needs to be fixed right away or if it can wait. It also gives you an idea of how much repair material welding wire that you’re going to need.
Gather Materials And Tools Of The Bike To Repair In Dune Awakening
Next, head over to the fabricator. You’ll need to craft a good amount of welding wire. That’s what you’ll use to repair your bike.
If your bike’s really damaged, you might need over 100 pieces. You can also check with a vendor if you’d rather buy it instead of making it.
You’ll also need the Welding Torch MK1, the same tool you used to build the bike. If you lost it, no worries.
You can craft it again at the fabricator, but make sure you’ve researched it first. Once you’ve got it, equip the torch.
Repair The Bike
Now go back to the bike. Use right-click on your torch to switch through the menu until you land on repair mode.
Then just click on each damaged part of the bike. The welding torch will use up the welding wire every time you fix something.
If you run out, the game will tell you with an “out of ammo” message. Just make more and continue. If a part shows up green, it means it’s fine and doesn’t need repairs.
Don’t forget, bike parts still wear down over time. Even after repairing, they won’t last forever.
So if you haven’t yet, try to research the Vehicle Backup Tool. It lets you pick up your bike and carry it with you, which is super handy during sandstorms.
That way, it doesn’t get wrecked while you’re finding shelter. Also, if you’re playing as a Planetologist, there’s a passive skill called Vehicle Repair.
