“Searching Sakai” is a main quest in which Naoe hunts the woman who shot her, tracking her to the town of Sakai.
Discover “The Searching Sakai” Quest In Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Select the “Searching Sakai” mission by choosing the quest from the Onryo board in the objectives section of the game.
Head to the Sakai Firearm District. Players can fast travel to the location using the waypoint.
Players must talk to three gunsmiths and ask if they can make a Golden Teppo. Follow the quest marker to find them.
After interacting with the third gunsmith, a new quest marker will guide you to two gunsmiths talking.
You will need to eavesdrop on their conversation. Make sure to stay well hidden by crouching behind cover.
After a while, you confront the two gunsmiths, starting a conversation where players must choose what to say.
There are several dialogue choices in this interaction as you attempt to obtain the Counterfeit Contract Papers, none of which end without violence.
Choosing Between Imai Sokyu Son Or Daughter In AC Shadows
In the first set of choices, you will be given two options: “My name is not important” and “I am with the Imai.“
If you select the second option, they will ask if you are associated with the son or daughter of Imai Sokyu in AC Shadows.
Selecting either option will lead to the same dialogue choices, all of which end with you chasing the gunsmith and taking the contract.
Talking To Imai Sokun
The game gives players two hints about the location of Imai Sokyu:
- He is in western Settsu
- He is in southwestern Sakai
Using this information, you locate the area where the next mission objective will take place.
Head to the city southwest of the Sakai Firearm District, directly above a major street that runs north to south.
As you approach the area, a blue quest marker appears, indicating Sokyu’s location; enter the large house through the front doors.
Speak to Imai Sokyu, who sits on the floor alongside his father. A cutscene begins, and two dialogue choices appear.
You can pick any reply while speaking with Sokun, but pay attention when he asks Naoe her name.
The game gives you three options to choose a fake identity. Make sure to memorize your choice, as the game will ask you again later.
Follow Sokyu out of the Imai house. You can choose to auto-follow him, and he will eventually lead you to his home.
After a brief conversation, the quest ends with Naoe securing an invitation to the tea ceremony.
