Moreover, there is only one solution for each puzzle, and you have four chances to get it right. Today’s puzzle difficulty is 2.6 out of 5, which lies in the average range.
However, in the 582nd release of the NYT Connections, many find it somewhat challenging to find the link of words like Inch and Glow with any of the four categories.
NYT Connections Answers For January 13, 2025 (#582)
After a quick glance at today’s NYT Connections, the words seem to be jumbled in a way that creates more confusion among the players.
So, naturally, I picked the words Bank, Pool, Reserve, and Store and was expecting to get the easiest category.
Fortunately, they belonged to the green category titled “Cache,” referring to a collection of items of the same type.
Moving on, the words Coach, Guide, School, and Train were my next guess, and I nailed the yellow category titled “Teach” without losing my chances in the game.
Inch Meaning In Today’s NYT Connections
With only 8 words remaining in the grid, I moved on to the more difficult categories of today’s NYT Connections.
Soon, I grouped Brake, Park, Signal, and Turn, which made up the blue category for today’s edition with the title “Driving Instructor Directives.”
Similarly, with the final four words, Book, Earth, Glow, and Inch, the process of combining was easier as the purple category lit up.
The category had a title, “____ Worm,” and Inch, meaning in today’s NYT Connections, is an inchworm, a type of caterpillar commonly called a looper.
Glow Meaning In NYT Connections With Final Category
In the same manner, Glow referred to Glowworm, a common name for various groups of insects that glow through bioluminescence.
Further, the other words in the purple category, like an Earthworm is a soil-dwelling invertebrate that lives where there is food, moisture, and oxygen.
Meanwhile, Bookworm is a term used for someone who loves and frequently reads or collects books.
So, with these answers, I completed today’s NYT Connections with the following categories:
- Cache (Green): Bank, Pool, Reserve, Store
- Teach (Yellow): Coach, Guide, School, Train
- Driving Instructor Directives (Blue): Brake, Park, Signal, Turn
- ___Worm (Purple): Book, Earth, Glow, Inch
