The quest A Light at the End of the Tunnel takes place in the Wild Island area of Stalker 2, where the trader Quiet assigns tasks to players.
In this quest, players need to find the mindscrew code to unlock the door in the tunnel and end the mission.
A Light In The End Of The Tunnel Quest Walkthrough
Although A Light at the End of the Tunnel is a side mission, it is as challenging as the main missions in the game. To begin with the side mission, players must travel to Quiet’s Camp.
The Trader Quiet will explain the mission of finding peat and returning the PSI installation from the abandoned tunnel.
To find Peat, you must travel to the Old Checkpoint in the Cordon region, but unfortunately, Peat is not available.
On the second floor of the Old Checkpoint Tower, you will find Peat’s recording. From there, travel to the Rookie village north of the Old Checkpoint.
At this location, the villagers will tell you to travel to the medic to find the wounded Peat.
Travel towards the Village’s Medic and ask him about the Peat. The medic Whale will let you see him after a short interaction.
Interact With Peat For Mindscrew Code In Stalker 2
You can interact with Peat, but he will not be able to talk to you. The NPC will keep on repeating the number One-Twentysix-Eight.
The numbers are the passcode to unlock the tunnel’s door and investigate the area to find the PSI installation.
Further, start traveling toward the west, which will lead you to the tunnel’s entrance. At this place, you will have to enter the code.
There are some anomalies at this location, so make sure to defeat them before you enter the tunnel.
After entering the code, you will be able to enter inside the tunnel and look for the PSI installation.
You must head deeper into the tunnel until you see a railroad car. The PSI installation is inside the car.
Deactivate Or Break The PSI Installation And Return To Rookie Village In Stalker 2
Once you reach there, the PSI installation will activate, making it impossible to take away from there.
You will have only two options: either break it or deactivate it. If you break the PSI installation, you will receive a lesser reward.
To deactivate the PSI installation, you will have to defeat the Poltergeist in that area. You can use bullets and grenades, but it will take longer to defeat.
It is best if you attack them with the explosive tanks lying near in that area.
In any condition, if you do not wish to fight against the Poltergeist, you can break the PSI installation.
You must keep on attacking the device until the blue light goes off. After that, you will be able to grab the PSI installation device.
Lastly, travel to Sidorovich in Rookie Village. The trader will reward you according to the condition of the PSI installation.
