“Not Ready On Set” Quest In World Of Warcraft (WoW)

Not Ready on Set is a quest in World of Warcraft, specifically part of the game’s 20th Anniversary celebrations.

The main objective of the quest is to locate Dapperdew in Ardenweald and assist him with the preparations for his play.

This quest is part of a series of quests leading up to another quest titled The Show Must Go On, which continues the storyline initiated by “Not Ready on Set”.

The quest, Not Ready on Set was added in Patch 11.0.5 on October 22, 2024.

Moreover, it is best for those players seeking to complete the associated achievement Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager.

Starting The Quest “Not Ready on Set“

To initiate the quest, players must locate Alyx, and can find at coordinates [63.0, 50.2] in Ardenweald.

Speak to Alyx to receive the quest, which involves checking on Dapperdew. Then, head to the Star Lake Amphitheater located at coordinates [41.5, 44.8].

 If you need a faster route:

• Players can use the portal to Oribos and then fly to Ardenweald.
• If they have not unlocked Shadowlands, they can use the M+ portal to Mists of Tirna Scithe.

Speak With Dapperdew

Upon arrival, talk to Dapperdew to learn about the problems he is facing regarding his play.

Dapperdew will assign you a follow-up quest where you must find several items stolen by a trickster.

Generally, tou need to find four specific items hidden around the Amphitheater:

Conductor’s Baton

• Location: Behind the audience area, near a drum.
• Coordinates: [43.29, 46.46]

Mask of the Trickster

• Location: Behind the main stage, next to a pink lamp.
• Coordinates: [41.17, 43.73]

Play Script

• Location: Backstage on a table with a pink lamp and a cup.
• Coordinates: [41.24, 42.80]

Prop Sword

• Location: In the audience area, under the Winter Queen’s throne.
• Coordinates: [42.22, 46.71]

After collecting all four items, players must return to Dapperdew and turn in the items to complete the quest and receive their rewards: 180 experience points and two unspecified items.

However, there’s a bug in the quest where players report that Dapperdew does not spawn at the designated coordinates after accepting the quest.

Moreover, they cannot interact with or collect the required items and quest may not update after collecting all items, preventing players from turning it in.

Contrarily, they must have completed certain Shadowlands quests. If they haven’t unlocked Shadowlands content, they cannot reach Dapperdew.
