HIGHLIGHTS
- In today’s NYT Connections, Rib refers to the BBQ dish, typically slow-cooked and slathered in sauce.
- Goose referred to Gooseneck, a 180° pipe fitting at the top of a vertical pipe that prevents entry of water.
- Kinds of Cravings, Pillar, BBQ Offerings, and ___Neck are the four categories of today’s NYT Connections.
Today’s NYT Connections was probably one of the trickiest ones, even harder than yesterday, at least for me.
Even though the words seemed relatively simple, even arranging the yellow group was not easy.
I initially opted for Wings, Bust, Rib, and Torso, thinking they were body parts, but I failed in the first attempt itself.
Answers For Today’s NYT Connections (May 2, 2025)
As I already lost a life in today’s Connections, I tried to play steadily and picked the words: Brace, Prop, Support, and Post as they refer to holding something. The group was named “Pillar.”
So, after getting the green group, I was quite relieved and worried at the same time, as the easiest yellow group was still pending.

Analyzing the remaining 12 words, I chose to go for Bust, Relief, Statue, and Torso (which was not easy to discover without a few hints).
So grouping out these words, I got the yellow group”Kinds of Cravings“.

Rib Meaning In NYT Connections #691
Rib in today’s NYT Connections is not a curved bone that forms part of the rib cage; rather, it refers to the BBQ dish, typically slow-cooked and slathered in sauce.
Link (Links of sausage, often grilled at BBQs), Wings (BBQ chicken wings), and Dog (hot dog, a classic BBQ staple) were the other remaining words that came up along with Rib.
These BBQ words were part of a blue group, “BBQ Offerings“.

Goose Meaning In NYT Connections #691 With All Answers
With only 4 words remaining, I just did the task by grouping out the words, which led me to the purple group “___Neck“.
Goose in today’s NYT Connections is not a bird of any of several waterfowl species, but rather it refers to Gooseneck, a 180° pipe fitting at the top of a vertical pipe that prevents entry of water.

On the other hand, the remaining words for the purple group were Bottleneck (a point in a process, system, or network that limits the overall throughput or performance), Turtleneck (a high, round, close-fitting neck on a knitted garment), and Breakneck (dangerously or extremely fast).
Finally, after getting all the categories and coloring up the grid, I was able to complete today’s game with the following answers;
- Pillar (Green): Brace, Post, Prop, Support
- Kinds Of Cravings (Yellow): Bust, Relief, Statue, Troso
- BBQ Offerings (Blue): Dog, Link, Rib, Wing
- ___ Neck (Purple): Bottle, Turtle, Break, Goose
