Today’s NYT Connection had a mix of categories with a mix of easy and hard words. We started with the Yellow group which contained the words Fulfill, Honor, Keep, and Uphold.
Each of these words relates to keeping one’s word or promise. Titled “Make Good On, As a Promise” this was an easy one for those who speak the language of commitment.
Next up is the Blue group which was a bit tougher. This set had Discard, Draw, Pass, and Play. These words are related to all the actions you can take in a card game.
Titled “Actions In Card Games” the Blue group took a bit of thought, especially for those not familiar with card-playing terminology. But once you thought of games of chance the solution fell into place.
Next up is the Purple group which was seemingly tough. This group had the words such as Energy, Justice, Labor, and State. All of these words relate to the Cabinet departments in the U.S. government.
The category “Cabinet Departments” required players to think outside the box and into politics. The Purple group is usually the toughest and today’s was no exception even for experienced players.
