The quest begins at the Tiger’s Maw Mines in the Huanglong region. Here, you’ll encounter the first of the magnetic cube puzzles.
Generally, the mines are part of a quest chain that unlocks regions and provides vital lore to the game.
For instance, the quest “Shadows of the Past”, is Act 2 of the Tiger’s Maw Mine quest chain and it provides game’s history and the significance of the mines.
Puzzle 1
The objective of Puzzle 1 is to move a floating magnetic cube to a specific location.
You can move the cube only in horizontal or vertical axis. Thus, you must carefully plan your moves.
However, the cube will continue to move until it hits an obstacle or reaches its destination.
Puzzle 2
For the Puzzle 2, player needs you to plot a route for the cube. Further, they should ensure that it takes a preset path to reach the goal location.
However, the path may consist of a series of twists and stops. It will require a strategic approach to determine the best sequence of actions.
Puzzle 3
The puzzle becomes more tough one by one. Initially, you’ll need to destroy two wooden crates to uncover a hidden switch.
This switch controls the movement of a blue wall that’s blocking the cube’s path.
Once the switch is activated, you’ll need to follow the steps below:
- Move the cube to the central position.
- Use the switch to lower the blue wall towards the south.
- Push the cube to the left side of the area.
- Toggle the switch once more to raise the wall upwards.
- Finally, strike the cube so that it slides into its designated endpoint.
Contrarily, these puzzles are not just about moving cubes. They are about understanding the mechanics of the game’s magnetic fields and using them to your advantage.
