Warhammer 40000: Space Marine 2 Lacks FOV Slider In Current Version

Definitely not the only exclusion!

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Focus Entertainment has not included the FOV (Field of View) slider in Warhammer 40000: Space Marine 2.
  • The Lack of FOV sliders can make the Characters a bit more zoomed-in, making the game unplayable for some players.
  • Unlike Ultrawide Support, Focus Entertainment will most-probably not add the option to game settings in Post-launch updates.

Warhammer 40000:Space Marine 2, the 2011 Space Marine’s sequel, is out now for multiple platforms.

The TPS/ Hack-slash game can be accessed early if the players have Premium editions, but Preload for Standard users is only available for Console users.

Even though Focus Entertainment’s latest game has a lot to offer, players are unable to play conveniently due to black screen, FOV, and Ultrawide Support issues.

Space Marine 2’s Approach For Excluding FOV Slammed By Fans

Space Marine 2 was expected to be a massive hit among fans ever since the first trailer reveal in December 2021.

Since players had to wait over 13 years to play the sequel, thousands pre-ordered the game for bonuses and early access.

Unfortunatley, many players who have early access aren’t big fans of Focus Entertainment’s odd approach of not including the sliders.

While the lack of a FOV option may not be an issue for most players, it can be a headache for players who tweak the settings more often.

The current FOV option makes characters much bigger and super-zoomed in, making the game unplayable at times. In a few instances, you can’t even see the enemies properly.

FOV Update Unlikely In September

Many Warhammer fans seem hopeful that the developers will add the Feature in the planned September update, but unlike the Ultrawide Support and New Modes, this doesn’t seem to be the case.

With no in-game option remaining, players are tweaking a few camera and video sliders to find the best settings possible for adjusting the situation somehow.

Thankfully, there’s a trick for removing the current FOV settings if you find the Warhammers covering more of your screen a huge problem.

You can use 35 FA 2E 3C instead of 35 FA 0E 3C using Hex Editor (1 instance); you can also try using 35 FA 3E 3C, depending on your ratio.

If the issue persists, using a Cheat Table or mods should be the only option for most players, but most of them don’t support every game mode.
