The Critical Countdown event transits four weeks across MW3 multiplayer, MW3 Zombies, and Warzone.
It started on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, and will remain available until June 20, 2024, giving players time to participate and earn rewards.
In this event, the players’ primary objective is to collect DNA samples, which will help them unlock rewards later.
Players can find two types of DNA samples during this event,
- Ade (Blue DNA samples): Collecting Ade samples can earn rewards like Double XP tokens, Double weapon XP tokens, and Double battle pass XP tokens.
- Cyto (Orange DNA samples): Collecting Cyto samples unlocks items such as the “Security Clearance” calling card, the “Safety First” emblem (coming soon), and the “Just a Spill” sticker.
Moreover, MW3 also features a powerful killstreak reward called the DNA Bomb.
When you achieve 25 consecutive kills without being killed, you can activate the DNA Bomb.
This bomb can help you defeat an entire team of enemies with just one shot at a time.
How To Collect DNA Strands In MW3?
To collect DNA strands in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) during the Critical Countdown event, you can follow these steps,
- Multiplayer Matches: During multiplayer, DNA samples drop from fallen enemies. Players can head to where an enemy was defeated to collect the DNA strand.
- Warzone: Players can loot DNA Strands from caches or downed enemies in Warzone. You can watch out for the big boxes and kill enemies to collect the samples.
- Zombies Mode: When you play Zombie mode, you can move towards the Urxiklstan and start defeating zombies. Later, these zombies will drop DNA samples, which you can collect.
- Farming DNA Samples: The best way to farm DNA samples is to play in the Small Map Moshpit playlist. This playlist features smaller maps that increase combat frequency, giving you more opportunities to collect DNA strands.
