Chromatic Hexga In Expedition 33
Chromatic Hexga is an optional boss in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, located in the Stone Wave Cliffs Cave.
Unlike the main boss, this optional boss does not seem to affect the main storyline, but it will definitely reward you with exclusive items worth giving time for.
To reach the boss area, you must first progress to Act 2 to gain the ability to swim across oceans using Esquie.
Once done with the prequities, you can head towards the cave entrance, and then the linear path inside the cave until you reach a two-way path. Take the right one to reach the boss.
Chromatic Hexga Not Taking Damage Issue In Expedition 33
When you enter the boss area, you can directly attack the enemy to initiate the battle.
While the enemy has jagged, multicolored crystal formations, with a large glowing crystal embedded in its left shoulder, you might face difficulty defeating the Hexga.
Most players have confirmed that the Chromatic Hexga is not taking any damage when shooting or making a heavy attack.
The issue is not seen to be exactly the bug, as the game seems to follow different mechanics with this specific boss.
How To Solve Chromatic Hexga Not Taking Damage Issue In Expedition 33
As you can see, the Chromatic Hexga has a crystal on its back, which seems to play a crucial role in defeating this boss.
The colors of the crystal change, with each change making the boss stronger. Initially, you will see the white crystal.
So, to defeat the boss, you must make sure that you shoot the crystal in each turn and do not let the crystal color change to red.
If the Crystal changes to red, the Hexga will not take any damage. To make sure you defeat the boss, follow the steps mentioned.
- Use Free Aim to target the large crystal on its left shoulder.
- The crystal keeps changing from white > yellow > orange > red, make sure it does not reach red.
- Break the Shields before targeting the crystals.
- Use Maelle’s Breaking Rules Skill.
Players can also use AP-restoring skills like Verso’s Paradigm Shift or Lune’s Thermal Transfer to maintain enough AP.
