In Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, the pet originates from the legendary Questing Beast Egg.
This ancient relic is believed to have been left behind by a powerful or mythical creature that once roamed Avalon.
To claim your own companion, you must first find the egg and follow a special ritual to bring it to life.
Reach The Shrine Of A Forgotten God To Get Pet In Tainted Grail
The pet begins as an egg called the Questing Beast Egg, which you can find inside the Shrine of a Forgotten God.
You need to start by traveling to the Horns of the South zone; head east from King’s Road.
Look for a path that goes around the Blood Lake. Then, climb up this path near the Druidic Altar and follow the trail until you reach the Archer Lady Statue.
Enter The Shrine And Cave
Once you arrive at the Archer Lady Statue, you’ll find the entrance to the Shrine of a Forgotten God; go inside.
In the shrine, you will meet a character named Caradoc; talk to him and exhaust all his dialogue options.
After speaking with Caradoc, continue further into the cave, which is called the Lair of the Beast.
Find And Hatch The Egg
As you explore the cave, follow the path until you see a large, dead beast lying on a rock.
Look to the left or behind the beast for a nest. Inside the nest, you’ll find the Questing Beast Egg.
Finally, pick up the egg from the nest and add it to your inventory. With the Questing Beast Egg now in your inventory, you’ll need to walk 5,000 steps while carrying the egg.
Once you have walked enough, rest at a campfire. This will trigger a cutscene where the egg hatches and you receive your new pet.
Meet The Pet “Qrko”
When the egg hatches, a small reptilian creature named Qrko appears.
Qrko will become your loyal companion and follow you throughout your journey.
The pet is friendly, cannot be harmed, and does not alert enemies; unlocks the “New Friend” achievement in the game.
Nevertheless, if you don’t want to hatch the egg right away, you can store it in your inventory at the Horns of the South fortress.
This lets you choose when you want to hatch the egg and get your pet.
