NYT Strands is back with another unique theme, Abracadabra. For today, players simply need to find six words.
While NYT Strands’ theme usually tends to be relatively tough, for today it seemed relatively easier.
Like always, you have 48 letters, arranged in an 8 x 6 grid. And, if you guessed it right, you have to find something related to Magic.
Abracadabra! Meaning In NYT Strands (July 18, 2025)
As you have to find six words for today’s edition, the words in the grid should be a bit longer than expected.
If you play Connections regularly, you have noticed Abracadabra appearing in the game, which actually refered to an 80s song.
However, for today, it represents a magical word, and you have to find words that Magicians usually do during the performances.

As the theme for today seemed quite clear, the first word I found was actually the Spangram: ITSMAGIC.
Secondly, I found the word “ESCAPE” as it was the only remaining six-letter word across the border; then, the other words followed, marking the puzzle’s end.
