Acquire “Facet Of Mending” In Destiny 2 By Finding Shells

Destiny 2, The Final Shape, introduces the Facet of Mending from the depths of the Pale Heart.  

The item is a Prismatic Fragment that offers healing capabilities to your Guardian and allows players to harness its healing prowess.

However, when you equip this fragment, it allows you to heal after defeating an enemy with a grenade. 

Initiate “Facet Of Mending” At Lost City Landing Zone

For the Facet of Mending, you must travel to the Lost City Landing Zone. However, you should ignore the two Cabal Centurions and proceed straight to the map’s origin.

Along the way, you will need to interact with wounded ghost shells to initiate the event required to unlock the fragment.

Locating Wounded Ghost Shells

You must locate and interact with four wounded ghost shells scattered throughout the area; to locate them:

First Shell: As you approach the exit of the large gate, direct your attention to the left side. The first shell is strategically placed on top of a post, almost like it’s watching over the gate.

Second Shell: After finding the first shell, make your way back to the central hub of the area. Look for a staircase where the second shell rests on a box, waiting to be discovered.

Third Shell: Upon leaving the central area, execute a complete 180° turn. You’ll need to climb above the doorway to find the third shell perched there.

Fourth Shell: You need to move forward and overcome any adversaries that stand in your way. The fourth shell is located on a prominent structure, marking the final checkpoint in this shell-finding mission.

Triggering The Event

With all four wounded ghost shells investigated, you will activate a special event where the ghost’s memory cries. Thus, retrace your steps along the path you initially followed.

You’ll notice objectives marked correspondingly to the locations of the lost ghosts you have previously collected, guiding you toward the next phase of the quest.

Completing The Event And Acquiring The Fragment

You need to stand on the designated plate and engage enemies. Although defeating them might not be necessary; however, it’s part of the process.

Once the plate’s sequence is complete, a formidable enemy will appear; defeat it to disable its shield.

As a result, you will receive the Overgrown Prismatic Key and use this key to open the chest and obtain the Facet of Mending.
