After closely analyzing today’s NYT Connections,  the first four words that crossed my mind were Applaud, Hail, Honor, and Praise.

Each of these words seems to be related to one another in a sense of recognition, praise, or even Salute.

With only four words remaining at the end, I quickly grouped them out and got the purple group, What ‘Buff’ Might Mean.

Enthusiast, Muscular, Nude, and Polish are the words that made today’s Purple group.

A buff basically means a person who is very interested in a subject and knows a lot about it. So with this meaning, Enthusiast (history buff) and Muscular (well-built and toned) perfectly fit in the purple group.
