Dark Fountains In Deltarune
The Dark Fountains play a significant role in Deltarune’s story. These fountains are sources of power that turn parts of the real world into Dark Worlds.
Players can enter the Dark Worlds to explore, fight enemies, and stop a big disaster from happening.
Ralsei says only the fountain in Castle Town is meant to be open, however, the Knight keeps opening new ones.
If too many fountains are open at a given time, it will cause something called the Roaring.

During the Roaring, giant monsters called Titans will appear and attack both the Light and Dark Worlds.
Furthermore, if the Titans take over, the world could be stuck in darkness forever.
Sealing The Dark Fountain In Deltarune Chapter 4
In Deltarune Chapter 4, Kris and Susie go to the church after it rains and discover a Dark Fountain has appeared.
They enter the Dark World, fight through enemies, and seal the fountain to return the church to normal.
Further, they find another fountain behind a locked door. To unlock it, Susie uses Kris’s knife to create a second Dark Fountain.

This new area is called the Second Sanctuary, an alternate version of the Dark Sanctuary they had just sealed.
This creates another Dark World inside the church, where they search for the code. Players can also donate to get some rewards. The donations and their rewards are listed below.
- No donation – No rewards
- Less than 100 D$ – Darker Candy
- 100 to 500 D$ – Scarlixir
- 500 to 2000 D$ – Revive Mint
- 2000 to 9999 D$ – Bitter Tear
- 9999 D$ and above – Gold Widow

Finally, the Knight appears and opens a third Dark Fountain. The Knight also creates a Titan, who is the final boss of Deltarune Chapter 4, and you must defeat it to seal the last fountain.
