Shadow of The Edtree is the latest expansion to Elden Ring, which will feature a new location, 10 main bosses, and an expanded character customization option.
Right after you start the DLC, you will have a character customization similar to that of the Base Game.
However, players will get relatively higher customizable options with the Day 1 patch.
Shadow Of The Erdtree Character Customization Options
If you have beaten the Mohg, Lord Of Blood, and Starscourge Radahn and touched the floating arm in the Mohgwyn Palace in the base game, you can start your DLC journey.
Upon launching the expansion, you can continue with your previous character or create a new one.
However, if you want to start from scratch in the DLC, you will have to pick one of the Ten classes;
- Vagabond
- Warrior
- Hero
- Astrologer
- Bandit
- Prisoner
- Confessor
- Prophet
- Samurai
- Wretch
All of the classes will have nine types of stats, including Level, Vigor, Mind, Endurance, Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane.
Besides the classes, players can also select the Keepsake, which is granted at character selection.
Classes And Keepsakes Are Unchangeable
You will have multiple Keepsake options, among which Stonesword Key, Lands Between Rune, and Lands Between Rune are the best choices.
The DLC will have a comparatively high level of difficulty, the same as the end-game, so sticking with the previous character is recommended.
However, Sticking with the old character will still provide customizable character options under the cosmetics section.
Character Customizable Option Identical To Base Game
While progressing, you can change your character’s Name and gender in the DLC, which are the same as in the base game.
Players can also modify the age, choose the base template, and have a glance at the detailed appearance.
Under the Detailed Appearance section, you will have many custom options, including skin color, hair, face, and body.
You can adjust the face template, enable marks, and have in-depth customizable options.
The character customizable options seem great enough for the DLC, so FromSoftware Plans does not add any additional options.
However, the developers will still opt for a minor change under the Hairstyles section.
The launch day patch will include five different hairstyles, which can be used via Clouded Mirror Stand in the Roundtable Hold area or Rennala’s Rebirth Feature.
The character customizable feature in the DLC seems to be identical to the base game, as the hairstyle will also be added to the base game.
The DLC’s launch day patch includes new pool summoning and inventory features. The inventory feature will include a new mark: “!” and “Recent Items” sections under obtained items.
Elden Rings will go under server maintenance for the update on June 20, 2024, from 07:00 to 10:00 UTC.
