How To Complete The First Watch Quest In Destiny 2

Fix Is Live!

HIGHLIGHTS

  • You can start the First Watch quest in Act 3 of Heresy by speaking to the Emissary in the Right of the Nine.
  • Players must complete the Spire of the Watcher dungeon and defeat two bosses, including Persys, to complete the quest.
  • Many players faced a bug where defeating Persys did not count, stopping quest progress and rewards, but Bungie has already issued a fix.

Rite of the Nine is a limited-time event in the Heresy episode of Destiny 2 with new dungeons, quests, and bounties.

You can get new and old weapons, use the attunement perks, and try three dungeon modes: Explorer, Eternity, and Ultimatum.

Moreover, you can also find a featured dungeon each week and talk to the Emissary in the Third Spire for gear, quests, and attuned loot.

In this quest, players will have to complete the Spire of the Watcher dungeon while also completing three objectives.

You can find the Spire of the Watcher dungeon by opening the Heresy: Act 3 map.

The first objective you have to complete inside the dungeon is the Spire Ascent encounter.

Further, the second and third objectives involve fighting and defeating Akelous, the Siren’s Current, and Persys, Primordial Ruin.

Once you finish all three objectives, you will complete the First Watch quest and receive rewards like the Wilderfight.

Bungie Fixes First Watch Bug

Many players ran into a bug, where even after defeating the Persys, the game did not seem to count it.

Because of this bug, you could not move forward with the quest and would not be able to get the Wilderfight.

Bungie has recently issued a server-side change that should now unblock progress for all Rite of the Nine quests.

If you have been stuck, you should now be able to continue the First Watch quest and unlock Wilderflight.

As an added bonus, through next Tuesday, players who complete the dungeon and defeat the final boss will receive an additional reward.
