How To Destroy The Gore Portals In Doom: The Dark Ages

Doom: The Dark Ages has 22 chapters, and each one includes several missions filled with action and tough enemies to fight.

There are also many hidden spots in every chapter, including secret landing areas that give you different rewards.

Chapter 6: Siege – Part 1 in Doom: The Dark Ages tasks players with clearing a demon-infested city.

Gore Portals In Doom: The Dark Ages

In Doom: The Dark Ages Chapter 6, players will be tasked with an important mission called Defend the City.

During this mission, you need to find and destroy five Gore Portals. These portals are massive Hell gates that appear across the map.

Each portal is marked by a red skull icon with three swords piercing through it on your map.

Further, these portals serve as demon spawn points, and you will need to destroy all five to push back the invasion.

Destroying Gore Portals In Chapter 6

To destroy a Gore Portal, you must defeat all the demons guarding it. These fights can be tough, but you can use your shield to block strong attacks.

You will also recharge your melee attack by blocking strong attacks with your shield.

While you are destroying the portals, you will run into something called Morale Encounters.

In these battles, a powerful demon is protected by an invulnerable shield. To disable the shield, you must kill the surrounding demons to deplete the morale meter.

The more demons you defeat, the faster the morale bar drops. When it reaches zero, the shield will break, and you can finally take down the big demon.

Players can find the last Gore Portal inside a cave marked by two wolf statues near a large doorway.

After defeating the demons inside, a blue portal will appear and teleport you to a cutscene showing cultists keeping the final portal open.

Finally, once the cutscene ends, your objective will be updated to kill the Cultists to destroy the final Gore Portal.
