During this tutorial phase, you will be introduced to multiple NPCs, weapons, the Blue Key to unlock secrets, and many more mysteries.
Reach The Village Of Khalim To Get The Blue Key In Doom: The Dark Ages
To get your hands on Imp Toy in The Dark Ages, you must first find the blue key and open the sealed metal gate.
Thus, the blue key is a crucial item during the early storyline of Doom: The Dark Ages.
To start your journey and reveal the secrets of Doom, you need to reach the Village of Khalim, a chapter 1 area.
Once in the Village, you need to clear the enemies and follow the objective marker seen in the top left corner of the game.
After clearing a few enemies, you will receive the new quest Cover The Escape, which serves as the Tutorial Phase and offers you unique combat mechanics and weapons.
Blue Key Location In Doom: The Dark Ages
Once you progress through the Cover The Escape quest, you will encounter the objective “Find the key.”
While it does not mention a specific key, but you must know that the key you are looking for is blue, which will likely fit in the blue seal door that you can see at the chapter 1 starting area.
To reach the key, you need to clear the village area and then drop into the area filled with lower-level enemies.
Once in the area, you will see a room with a green symbol wall, just smash the wall and then you will be able to learn about parrying Attacks.
After learning about the Parrying Attacks, you need to Parry Hell Surge Projectile 2 times, which will lead you to the Courtyard area.
Get The Key To Open The Metal Gate
In the Courtyard area, you will encounter one large orange monster, whom you must defeat to reach the Church and grab the blue key.
Once in the Church, you need to shoot the Priest (if not already dead), then grab the Blue Key, which you will find around the Priest’s neck.
After getting the key, you can head back to the place where you first were in Chapter 1, where the Metal gate is located.
You can use the Blue Key to open the metal gate. Inside the gate, you will find an Imp Toy, which is one of the secret collectibles of Chapter 1.
