You can equip up to 6 skills at a time and swap them in the character overview menu for better combat flexibility.

Stendhal Skill In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Stendhal is a powerful skill that can be used by Maelle. You can unlock this skill after you complete Act III of the main story.

Players also need to unlock the Percee or Burning Canvas skill as a prerequisite to unlocking Stendhal.

It costs 8 Action Points (AP) to use and deals a large amount of Void damage to a single enemy. Further, it only hits once, but it is very strong.

However, using Stendhal comes with a risk. When Maelle uses it, she loses any shield effects she has and becomes defenceless, meaning she will take more damage from enemies.

Furthermore, it also changes her stance to Stanceless, which affects how her other skills work.

Balance Changes Coming To Stendhal Skills

According to the developers, Stendhal was not very strong during development, so they decided to give it a big boost before the full release.

This boost made the skill too powerful, and it became one of the best skills in the game, which made other skills feel less useful.

As a result, the developers have decided to fix the balance. They announced that a patch is coming tomorrow to lower Stendhal’s damage.

Even after the update, Stendhal will still be a strong skill, deal good damage, and work well with other abilities, but will not be as overpowering as before.

Finally, you have one more day to enjoy the skill at full power and maybe set some high-damage records before the patch goes live.
