- Pharma (Pharma Bro) belongs to Blue Group: Kinds of Bros, which is a Documentary and a name given to Martin Shkreli, a former pharmaceutical executive.
- Concoction, Types of Sentences, Kinds of Bros, and Complaint Homophones are the four groups on December 20, 2024’s NYT Connections.
The New York Times’ connections puzzle for today was relatively easy, with a difficulty score of only 1.5.
Almost daily, NYT Connections offers 16 different words to place them into four categories sharing a similar theme, unlike a few exceptions, where they use pictures.
Fortunately, due to the low difficulty level, most of the words seemed to have concrete meanings compared to other days, except for a few: Mown and Pharma.
Mown And Pharma Meaning And Solution In Today’s NYT Connections (December 19, 2024)
At first glance at today’s game, I thought Cocktail and Wine may fall into the same category. But there was not a single matching word that would connect the category.
After seeing Mixture, I was pretty much sure Cocktail would fall in the same category and picked two more words: Compound and Solution.
With the first group (Concoction) sorted, I chose Exclamation, Question, Command, and Statement without a second thought as they seemed to be related to sentence type.
Luckily, I was correct for the first two groups, and I still had plenty of lives to complete the game.
Jumping into the third group, I opted for Pharma, Crypto, Finance, and Tech, thinking they were Types of Companies (seemed too easy for the group, though, if you play connections regularly).
Even though my category guess was incorrect, I still got the third group right: Kind of Bros, without making any mistake.
Except for Pharma Bro, a name given to Pharmaceutical Tycoon Martin Shkreli, the other three words, Finance, Tech, and Crypto, referred to people with deep interest or knowledge in those fields.
