The secret ending of Remnant 2: Forgotten Kingdom is all about finding the Cherished Fracture.
Generally, it is a part of the Root corruption, and delivering it to Lydusa, the last boss.
However, Walt seems to be a very helpful NPC throughout the DLC, but hidden paths reveal another side to Walt and special rewards.
Unlock The Walt Secret Ending In Remnant 2
You must complete the Forgotten Kingdom DLC to unlock the Walt Secret Ending in Remnant 2.
Significantly, with the completion of Secret Ending, you will be able to obtain the Burden of Mesmer for free and craft the Thorn weapon.
Initially, you need to find the bird’s nest, interact with it and follow the further steps as below:
Find The Bird’s Nest
Basically, you will need to find a bird’s nest, it is an important step for the later part of the quest.
You’ll see an egg in the nest, but do not touch it nor interact with it.
However, you have to return to this place after you complete the main storyline.
Speak With Walt
After interacting with the bird’s nest, you will encounter Walt, an NPC.
Further, you must interact with him and follow specific dialogue options; do not skip any of his dialogues.
This triggers unique cutscenes and interactions that are crucial for unlocking the secret items.
Get The Cherished Fracture
As you continue your journey, you will find an item, the Cherished Fracture; has a story with Lydusa.
Once you obtain it, do not use or give it to Lydusa immediately. Hold onto it for a specific moment that will come later in the game.
Last Walt Interaction
At a certain time, you may need to visit a place, the Primal Hollow.
Here, you will have your last interaction with Walt; exhaust all the dialogue options in this interaction.
After this, a cutscene will appear where Walt will stab you at your back.
Fight Lydusa
During the game, you will come across a cut-scene and confront Lydusa inside the throne room.
It’s really important because once you defeat Lydusa, you will obtain the Burden of Mesmer.
Significanty, this is a free item; with it you can craft other useful item in the game.
Get The Thorn Weapon
After completing the main game and watching the ending, you’ll have to go back to that bird’s nest you visited earlier.
You’ll encounter the bird in the nest, and it drops a special item for you that will help you craft the Thorn weapon, which is an amazing weapon in the game.
Get Mudtooths Hat
Lastly, after completing the DLC, you’ll have to search for a character called Mudtooth inside an area, Ward 13.
Interact with Mudtooth and ensure that you go through every single dialogue option. Finally, by interacting with Mudtooth, he will gift you his hat for your benefit.
