The Alters is a sci-fi survival game where you play as Jan Dolsi, a man stuck on a deadly planet.
To stay alive and escape, he creates other versions of himself using a special material called Rapidium.
Players will face many tough choices for Jan and his Alters throughout the game, each leading to different outcomes.
Miner Arm Choice Guide In The Alters
In The Alters, players can add Jan Miner to their team as one of the Alters. He is a hard worker, but over time, he begins to suffer from pain in one of his arms.

Players can give him the painkillers or make him work through the pain. If you give him the painkillers, he will abuse them and end up dying.
However, if you do not give him the painkillers, he will end up cutting the arm that hurts.
This is when players are given a choice: either provide him with a special serum that regrows his arm or give him a prosthetic arm.
Each choice comes with different effects on his health, happiness, and work performance. However, we recommend you choose the Serum route.
Giving Jan Miner The Serum To Regrow His Arm
Choosing to give Jan Miner the serum in The Alters is the better and kinder option, as the serum regrows the Miner’s arm completely.
Although the Miner might be hesitant at first to regrow his arm, this choice will work out eventually. After some time, he becomes extremely happy once he gets the new arm.

Furthermore, he feels so thankful that he insists on being assigned to a mine, saying he wants to fulfill his purpose.
Once in the mine, he works nonstop, pushing himself far too hard, and if you do not step, he could end up working himself to death.
To prevent this, players must either let the Shrink counsel him or place him in the Contemplation Room in the hopes that he calms down on his own.
