In the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring, Jolan and Anna have a unique and powerful spirit summon that brings forth two Swordhands of Night.
One of these Swordhands is possessed by Count Ymir’s doll, Anna. Generally, Anna and Jolan were raised in a cold, dark gaol, deprived of light, to become Swordhands of Night.
Moreover, they were trained to be masters of their blades, making them formidable warriors.
Puppet Of Anna In Elden Ring
Anna wields the Claws of Night, which are known for their bleed build-up and for causing significant damage to enemies.
However, you can still acquire the Jolan and Anna Spirit Summon in the Shadow of the Erdtree.
Complete Count Ymir’s Questline
Players need to find and approach Count Ymir in the Cathedral of Manus Metyr in Scaddu Altus to initiate the quest.
The NPC will assign you a series of tasks, including defeating certain enemies, collecting specific items, or solving puzzles.
As the players progress through Count Ymir’s quest line, they will get a task where they have to obtain the Iris of Grace found at the Statue of Marika near the Tree-Worship Passage Site of Grace.
Once you have the Iris of Grace, approach Jolan and give him the item; this will advance the questline and unlock the next steps.
Locate Puppet Of Anna
You should navigate to Rabbath’s Rise, a tower located in the Shaman Village area. Remember, this area might be tricky to navigate, so look for landmarks using your map.
Significantly, a hidden path or mechanism allows you to access the top part of Rabbath’s Rise. Thus, look for hidden levers, imaginary walls, or other environmental clues.
Thoroughly explore the area to find Anna’s puppet body. Players may need to be involved in solving puzzles or defeating enemies guarding the path.
Once you have found Anna’s puppet body, you will be able to summon Jolan and Anna during your battles.
Upgrading The Jolan and Anna Spirit Ashes
To upgrade Spirit Ashes, you need Grave Gloveworts, players can find them in various catacombs and underground areas.
However, players need higher upgrades for higher-level Gloveworts and Locate a Spirit Tuner, such as Roderika, at the Roundtable Hold.
She can upgrade your Spirit Ashes once you have given the Chrysalids’ Memento and she has moved to the blacksmith area.
Further, you should speak to the Spirit Tuner and select the Jolan and Anna Spirit Ash from your inventory.
You should use the required amount of Grave Gloveworts and Runes to upgrade the Spirit Ash.
Each upgrade level will increase their health, damage, and overall effectiveness in battle.
Continue upgrading until you reach +10, which is the maximum level. This will ensure that Jolan and Anna are at their strongest.
