Undertaker And Poetic Meaning In NYT Connections For June 20, 2025 (#740)

Think of the Coffin Meme!

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Undertaker in today’s Connection refers to one of the greatest Wrestlers of all time, who was included in WWE Hall of Fame, as well.
  • Poetic didn’t refer to anything related to Poetry, it referred to write or speak in a verbose manner. But, it indeed was a combination of two words.
  • Videography, used by a Taylor, Wrestling, and Related to Wax are four groups of today’s connections.

Today marks the 740th day of the start of the NYT Connections game, and after a long time, I feel no words are tricky or unheard of.

Even though the difficulty of the riddle is higher (2.8/5) than yesterday’s one, I feel that even more players will be able to get past the game.

However, as words often have multiple meanings or can refer to literally anything, you should play wisely if you want a perfect score. For today, the tricky ones could be Seal, Poetic, Undertaker, and Hitman.

Hints And Answers Of Today’s NYT Connections (June 20, 2025)

The first group I got first today was green. If you think of something related to videography, you can crack the group with ease.

Today’s NYT Connections’ words.

The first group was “Capture on Video,” which included the words “shoot,” “tape,” “record,” and “film.”

Moreover, the next group in today’s edition was not that tricky either. As all four words, Button, Needle, Scissors, and Thread, were basically related to sewing or tailoring.

Halfway through the puzzle.

With half the puzzle sorted, the next group I got was blue. Taking a first glance at today’s game, the first two words I noticed quickly were Undertaker and Rock.

All Words Meanings (Blue And Purple Group)

I was fairly certain they could be part of a group consisting of wrestlers. However, as I wanted to go with the flow, I opted for the easiest option.

For the next group, I initially selected Undertaker, Rock, Hitman, and Seal (I was skeptical while making the selection).

Unfortunately, I was one word away from getting the third, so I opted for Snake instead of Seal for the second try, and luckily, it formed the blue group.

The group was named after Pro wrestlers starting with “The.” I am pretty sure that almost everyone knows The Undertaker and The Rock (Dwayne Johnson).

The other two wrestlers, The Hitman and The Snake, are Bret Hart (five-time WWF Champion and Canadian Wrestler) and Jake Roberts (American Wrestler), who were popular during the 1980s and 1990s.

Only the Purple group remains.

For the final part of the game, all I needed to do was select the remaining words. The words, Museum, Paper, Poetic, and Seal were part of the Wax___ category.

The term “Wax Museum” (also known as “Waxworks”) refers to a collection of Wax sculptures of celebrities or Personalities. Whereas, Wax Paper is basically a paper that is moisture or grease-proof.

Lastly, Wax Poetic is speaking in an increasingly verbose manner, like poetry, and Wax Seal is a functional imprint to make documents secure.

With today’s game sorted, here are the final answers of Today’s Connections game;

  • Items in a Sewing Kit (Yellow): Button, Needle, Scissors, Thread
  • Capture Video (Green): Film, Record, Shoot, Tape
  • Pro Wrestling Icons, With “The” (Blue): Hitman, Rock, Snake, Undertaker
  • Wax ___ (Purple): Museum, Paper, Poetic, Seal
