In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, The Kabukimono quest presents a unique challenge: Leave a message at a serene shrine.
It generally focuses on eliminating a group of rogue samurai known as the Kabukimono, who are causing chaos in the Izumi Settsu region.
Further, it introduces players to interacting with Shin’nyo at the Nishinomiya Shrine, which provides insight into the local culture and conflicts.
Leave A Message At The Shrine
To complete the Leave A Message At The Shrine objective during Contact the Kabukimono quest, open your map and locate Izumi Settsu. This is where the Nishinomiya Shrine Shrine is located.
Once you are in Izumi Settsu, find the Nishinomiya Shrine which is marked on your map.

At the shrine, look for a specific spot where you can leave a message; a marker or a sign indicates it.
Approach the sign or marker and interact with it to leave the message. Further, it will trigger a dialogue or a confirmation about leaving the message.

After leaving the message, it marks the completion of the quest. However, you may receive additional dialogue or rewards depending on the game’s progression.
Finally, you need to check your quest log to ensure the completion of The Kabukimono quest.
Choice To Gather Or Hunt Separately
After leaving a message at the shrine in The Kabukimono quest, you will have a choice that significantly impacts how you proceed with the quest.
If you choose to gather the remaining three Kabukimono leaders, they will convene at a single location near Takagi Otsuka Fort in the Harima province.
This option simplifies the task as you face fewer enemies and might even receive assistance from other soldiers during the battle.
Alternatively, you can choose to hunt each of the remaining Kabukimono leaders individually.
This option is more challenging as they are scattered across Harima, each accompanied by Ronin, making the encounters more difficult
